Can Cau Market is a small, but very colorful market, set in the mountains near the Chinese border. The Flower Hmong minority is the most common here, and their colourful dresses makes is a beautiful sight. Bac Ha Market is in Bac Ha District and belong to Lao Cai Province, 80km from Sapa town and over 1hour by car. Bac Ha is one of the biggest market on Sapa and open on Sunday only. It’s not only the trading center but it’s also the place for couples, friends and relatives. At this market every thing on sales: pig, dog, cat, houres… so it make this market hotter on Sunday.

Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai province (night train)
We will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi at 7.00 pm and transfer you to Hanoi train station for the overnight train to Lao Cai province. Experience the romantic overnight train travel.

Day 2: Lao Cai station – Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai – Sapa (B, L)
A walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 3km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. Relax at the foot of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the river, and then next 3km to Sin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain - "the roof of Vietnam and Indochina". From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes before climbing up on the way by a jeep to return to Sapa town.

Day 3: Sapa - Can Cau market on Saturday (B, L)
Transfer from Sapa to CanCau market. It takes more than 3 hours to get to CanCau - a small market situated in a valley surrounded by mountains and only 7km from China. The market deeply shows the typical cultural features of the minorities in remote mountainous areas in Vietnam. Further more, you can enjoy seeing boys and girls in colourful costumes - different colous of the mountains. They attend the market in the hope of finding "the other halves of their lifves" and this is also the time for them to chat, to exchange everything among different ethnic peoples through cups of wine sold in the market and have lunch there. Say goodbye to the market and transfer to Bac Ha town. On the way, spend time visiting a village of the Flower H'mong and then check in hotel in Bac Ha town. Free time to explore the town.

Day 4: Bac Ha market on Sunday (B, L)
Breakfast and the beginning of the day on which you visit a big market filled with many different hill-tribe peoples. This is the most colorful market in North Vietnam. At the market, you have chance to enjoy Bac Ha people's simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches... talking to the minorities through the guide's interpretation. Leave the market for the H'mong King's house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese in 1920. Return the town for lunch. In the afternoon, spend time visiting another village (Ban Pho village). Say good bye to Bac Ha and get back to Lao Cain station for the overnight train to Hanoi.
